New Media Artist, Filmmaker and Photographer  Roberto Mighty made the video projections for “Zalmen or the madness of God”. Roberto is an Adjunct Professor at Emerson College's Visual & Media Arts department. He is currently Artist-In-Residence at The Harvard Forest and its Long Term Ecological Research program. He spent the year 2010 developing a multimedia art project, Trees of My City, which exhibited at the Arnold Arboretum from January to March of this year. As a documentary filmmaker, Roberto has worked with The Huntington Theatre Company, the Ballet Theatre of Boston and Boston Ballet Choreographer Rebecca Rice.  Roberto wrote and directed the critically acclaimed documentary Chinese Lessons, produced in cooperation with Zhejiang Province Television, with assistance from Harvard University, the Emily Dickinson Homestead, the Frost Library at Amherst College and the Whittier Birthplace. For the Fall, Roberto is directing and editing a new documentary, “KolorGirlz”, about women standup comedians of color across the US. He is founder of the New England Media Coalition, a member of the Independent Feature Project in NYC and a member of the College Art Association. Roberto is the recipient of a National Association of Latino Independent Producers “Producer’s Academy Fellowship” in Santa Fe, New Mexico and a Faculty Grant from Emerson College. He has directed over 50 audiobooks for major publishers, including work with John Updike, Sandra Cisneros, Gregory Maguire and Andre Dubus III. Roberto was appointed a Producer for the National Black Programming Coalition’s New Media Institute in Washington, DC, working with WGBH’s Basic Black.
